The old adage tells us that if something is just too good to be true then it probably is. So it was with the free file sharing system Ares Destiny that I tried out recently. I’d heard mixed reviews and just wanted to give it a test run. It’s free so I thought that it wouldn’t hurt to try. How wrong I was: it hurt a lot. First off the Ares Destinysoftware is nothing special. There is nothing particularly wrong with it either: it is just mid range stuff that is easily bettered by searching around. This didn’t surprise me a great deal since Ares Destiny is relatively new to the market and I didn’t expect them to get it spot on first time around. The big surprise – and it is not one of those nice surprises like you would expect on a birthday or at Christmas – is that during installation (which was, unsurprisingly in hindsight, pretty much an automatic affair) it had managed to squeeze Dealio onto my computer. Dealio is spyware, pure and simple, and unless you really like popups every few minutes it will get annoying very, very soon. As a parting shot, it turns out that Dealio is pretty much impossible to get rid of. Steer well clear of Ares Destiny!

Aires is still the talk of the internet today when it comes to free file sharing software. This program enables a user to share and download digital files, which include audio, video, photos, other software and movies. This peer-to-peer program operates on a decentralized network.

When you join the Ares download network, you become a member of a virtual community where you can share your digital files with others. It also becomes possible for you and for each member of the community to download from each other’s shared files. Publishing your own or a downloaded file also becomes easier with the use of the Ares program.

Ares users can join chat sessions with the chat feature that you can use within the application (and they are available while you are downloading). Meeting new online friends can be done by hosting your own chat ‘channel’.

Users with more technical tastes might be interested to know that BitTorrent is now supported by the latest version of Ares as is shoutcast, a group of radio stations that plays on the internet.

While the Ares software is so popular with internet music lovers, it is not intended solely for music purposes. Aside from the features mentioned above, it also has a decent library features that are very useful in storing your downloaded files.

Downloading Ares is easier than it might seem. Just go to one of these 4 ares download links, download, install, and enjoy.
